Week 8: Race Ready or Building Bricks

🏃 Sydney Marathon Crew

Business as usual. This week we’re hitting 26km on the long run and starting to stare down those 30km+ efforts. This is the grind, the hard but important bit. You’ve built the foundations, now it’s time to lay solid brickwork over the next 4–6 weeks. Lock in and let’s get after it.

🏁 HYROX & GC Marathon Crew

Nerves? Good. It means you care. It means you’re ready.

Remember: you can’t get much fitter in the final 5–6 days, but you can get injured. So train smart, stay sharp, and use that nervous energy as fuel. The race is a celebration of the weeks of work already done.

We’ll still have a taper track session on Wednesday, but no pressure to attend listen to your body and only come if you really want to.
