🌅 Week 7: The Calm Before the Charge

Recovery, race prep, and a very special guest...

Week 7 and wow, do we have a lot to get excited about over the coming weeks!

But first, let’s crack into this week’s plan: we’re entering a de-load week. Now, I know what some of you are thinking – “I’m 10 weeks out from the Sydney Marathon, I need to keep pushing!” But here’s the thing: in order for our bodies to adapt and absorb all the hard work we’ve put in, we need to slow down and recover before ramping things up again.

This next block will be the meat of our Sydney Marathon prep – and yes, we’re talking 30km+ long runs. Get ready to build that engine.

At the track, we’re reducing volume this week – but not necessarily intensity. For those doing Hyrox, 1KM repeats are on the menu to lock in that race-day pace 🔥

Now for the big news…

We’ve got a huge surprise for you. One of the world’s biggest running influencers, Jonny Davies, is joining us for a sunrise run with Tribal!

đź“… Save the date: 16th July
📍 Musgrave Avenue, Centennial Park
⏰ 6am (TBC)

Tell your mates and get ready to give Jonny a proper Irish-Australian Tribal welcome! Full details to follow & strava link to follow but trust us, you’ll want to be there. Huge Kudos to Andrew Croly for organising!

One final thing…

I wasn’t going to mention this but here we are. I’ve been nominated for a Community Appreciation Award with the Irish Support Agency. While the nomination has my name on it, it’s truly a reflection of the entire Tribal team, the volunteers, the supporters, and every single one of you who shows up and gives this community its heart.

If you’ve got a second, I’d really appreciate your vote 🙏
